Therapeutic Counselling & Coaching
Thank you for connecting, and a warm welcome to you.
I offer therapeutic counselling and coaching, tailored to each individual and their unique needs. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach, so we’ll work together relationally to determine what suits you best. Additionally, I bring my experience as a yoga teacher and energy management practitioner into my work where relevant, approaching your issues with a soulful and imaginative perspective.
I believe that the body holds a wisdom that can help us engage with issues we haven’t been able to "think" our way out of and can be a helpful way of working alongside talking therapy and coaching. I provide a confidential, safe space for you to work through the challenges you’re facing.
I offer sessions online, as well as face-to-face in Folkestone, and I work in both English and French.
About me
I have always been passionate about people and the struggles we face as individuals, groups, and societies.
I began my career in international development at a bank, worked as an actress, and later became a teacher in priority education zone schools. I have also been a coach and group facilitator, as well as a yoga practitioner and teacher for over 20 years. I lived in France for more than 30 years.
My own journey through life's challenges, my search for meaning and a more grounded sense of self led me to therapy and other healing practices. These include NLP, psychodynamic therapy, human-centred therapy, somatic experiencing, and voice dialogue, as well as yoga, meditation, and mindfulness practices. This exploration ultimately led me to find my therapeutic home in integrative transpersonal counselling.
I am passionate about how we navigate transitions of all kinds to bring a fuller, more soulful version of ourselves into the world. My work focuses on the connection between mind, heart, and body and how we make meaning of our personal stories and our connection to the wider world.
Our sessions provide the time, space, and appropriate energy to process and explore together.
Before qualifying as a therapeutic counsellor, I gained over 20 years of experience working internationally with senior leaders, coaching individuals across a wide range of sectors, and teaching yoga.

My approach
I am qualified in integrative transpersonal counselling. This means my approach includes different schools of thought in therapy and is centred on adapting the approach to the needs of the person and their context. It also involves exploring personal history while considering ways of engaging with the world and making meaning that go beyond the personal story, taking the current context into account. I work with a soulful approach that explores what the unconscious realm may offer through the imagination, the body, or our dreams. I use embodied practices such as drawing, writing, movement, or other forms of expression alongside talking therapy. I bring my wide-ranging skills to different contexts, including individual therapy, coaching, facilitation of group work, and residential retreats.
Our work may involve depth therapy and long-term commitment, as transitions sometimes require us to revisit unfinished business and unprocessed trauma. Alternatively, it could be shorter-term work, offering support in navigating the emotions and uncertainty that a particular transition brings, or in finding ways to engage your will in moving forward.
In line with BACP ethics , all of my work is confidentially supervised.
I specialise both in my therapeutic and coaching work in navigating transitions of all kinds, which may include:
Menopause (find out more about my work with the menopause here)

Therapeutic counselling sessions are 50 minutes long and weekly. The focus is on looking at our context and our history and how past events and patterns are impacting our capacities and ways of being in the world in the here and now. We will work relationally with unconscious patterns.
-
Coaching sessions tend to be longer, 60-90 minutes and may be at a different rhythm, usually every two to three weeks. The focus is more forward looking and looks at how current patterns may be holding us back from fulfilling our desires and goals. Unconscious dynamics will tend to be less present in the work.

You may be facing a transition in life (work, relationships, illness, parenthood, menopause, midlife, etc.), finding life challenging, or simply wishing to explore what really matters to you.
We use a powerful combination of stories and myths (as maps to the unconscious), physical practices and meditation (drawing on yoga and qi gong), time in nature, psychological processes (such as shadow work, archetypes, and dreamwork), and creativity. Together, we inquire into our inner landscapes to discover new possibilities and insights.
Group processes can be empowering, rewarding, and enriching as we witness each other and reclaim our own stories that have often been disowned or forgotten. We learn together, connect with one another, and provide support and compassion.
